Thoughts about the novel as a whole

For the most part I actually liked I Hunt Killers. This is typically not a novel that I would pick up myself and start to read but after reading it I would recommend it to a friend.  There was never a point in the novel that I thought was boring or that I wanted to stop reading. I kept wanting to read because I wanted to find out who this impressionist was. What I didn’t like about this novel was the ending. Some of the things seemed kind of strange to me. If the impressionist wanted to follow in Billy's food steps so bad why would he want Jazz's grandmother and Connie dead? What I also thought was strange and kind of random was why did Howie make Connie drive him to Jazz's house in the middle of the night? I mean if I couldn’t sleep like Howie the last thing I would probably do was go to my friends house. Other than that I enjoyed the book. I liked how Jazz's tattoo was I Hunt Killers, it really portrays his character.

I agree with Sabrina. I thought the entire novel was really interesting and the idea and plot was different from anything I've ever read. I also found the ending to be a little confusing, as well as rushed. When Jazz finally found out who the Impressionist was, many other clues and factors started falling into place, but maybe it just seemed that way because there is a sequel to the book. Everything with Howie and Connie was a little confusing too, I felt like them being there at that time was irrelevant. The author didn't have to include them in that scene to make it work, but the ending included many cliffhangers that definitely would make people want to read the next book.
