What i don't like about this book is the dark humor in it. It gets too freaky and eerie in a sense that its display of cruelty is beyond terrible. Jasper was often made to watch his father kill people, people killed and nailed to the ceiling and how Howie was described as he "bleeds if you look at him hard". As bad as that is, the second half of the book dragged on with terrible story lines. Most of it was filled with horrible mental abuse and strong sexual dialogue. The second half was just written poorly, like the author had nothing left and threw in anything he could think of.
