Jazz's Self Conflict
Throughout the novel, hints are dropped that Jazz will turn into a serial killer, and he is constantly fighting the part of him that wants to be like his dad. At times he fantasizes about killing his grandmother, or says that part of him enjoyed Ginny's death. Because of this, I thought that Jazz would turn into a serial killer. When he didn't at the end, I was surprised, and was left wondering why these hints were dropped in the first place.
