Ending

This is my critique to the end of the novel.
If you read the ending you would know that Jazz's father, Billy escaped prison, and the Impressionist was Jeff Fulton. Jeff originally pretended to be a father, who's daughter was murdered by Billy Dent, but ultimately - he admired Billy. Jeff wanted Jazz to be like his father, and to assist in Jazz's first kill. As we know, this never happens and the book ends with Jeff going to jail.

In my opinion, I did not really like the ending. One of the things that I did not like was that Billy escaped. It was very last minute, and the only reason why this happened is so the novel can lead to a sequel. Also, did not like the fact that the novel went with one of the most obvious suspects (to me), instead of really sending shock factor, or surprise to me. The ending had a lot of potential, but it was executed poorly.

Still, the novel in general was very interesting, and a decent murder mystery book. Despite the ending, I enjoyed I Hunt Killers, and might get the sequel.
