G. Williams is an irresponsible sorry excuse for a sheriff.

The idea of a trained, seasoned professional allowing the son of the world's most famous serial killer to help solve a murder case is ridiculous. The premise is that poor-old G. Williams just can't handle going after another Billy Dent again seeing that the last time it nearly lead to the end of him in the process, So he reaches out to the one person that knew Billy best, his 17 year old son. Granted it is a work of fiction but any story depicting a serious matter that wishes to be taken seriously should hold at least one shred of believe-ability to its name. If G. William was so caring about Jasper and cared about his well being in the least than he should have done the complete opposite and kept Jasper as far away from this case as possible. And the excuse that he was so broken and weary from his past experiences is genuinely idiotic, he of all people should have seen how chasing the monster that is a copy cat of Billy Dent could have been extremely harmful to a still minor Jasper Dent. If going through this torment once wasn't enough to drive poor Jasper insane that going through it once more would surely do the trick. This is simply my point of view on the case, comment as you see fit.

I completely agree with this. Jazz of all people should have been kept away from this case, and any police case for that matter. As you pointed out, he is still a minor. He should be doing things to help him get over the trauma that he was put through, not go through it again.

DianaV11- I COMPLETELY agree! Who lets a 17 year old boy, much less the son of a serial killer, deal with a professional case. This is illegal and ridiculous. I mean it was the sheriff's job that he gets paid, but he was so incompetent and could handle it himself that he depended on a 17 year old to do his work. Doesn't he realize that this could harm Jazz physically, and emotionally by bringing up traumatic events from his past.
